A pair of round eighteen carat yellow gold cufflinks set with two diamonds, a ruby and a sapphire. This is a stunning, high quality pair of cufflinks. Each panel has been meticulously hand hammered to produce this stunning texture to the gold. Each panel has then been set with stones into the center. They are open backed settings so as to allow as much light into the stones as possible to allow the colours and brilliance to radiate.
Each of the panels are joined by a thick solid gold chain which allows for a little flexibility on the sleeve. The center of once pair is set with a diamond on one side, and a ruby on the other. While the other has a diamond and a sapphire. An estimated 0.75 of a carat is in each panel.
Each of the panels is stamped a French eagle control mark for eighteen carat gold on the loop, and along the bar on the inside back of one of the panels is a stamped registration number of '105'. This means, which ever French jeweller these cufflinks originated, it would have been of some note that they would go to the trouble to register the design and keep records. Made in France, circa 1925.
