DATE: Art Deco/Egyptian Revival, c.1920 

The Egyptian Revival era of jewellery took place during the Art Deco period, when  Tutankhamun's Tomb was discovered. This piece, a charming Egyptian Revival Moses basket charm in silver gilt. The front is finished in fine enamel detailing, depicting pyramids the great sphinx of Giza surrounded by sand and water. It's hinged down one side and opens to reveal a gold baby Moses, which can be taken out of the basket. The back features woven style details, and it dates from the Art Deco period, circa 1920.
