DATE: Art Deco, c.1920
Mesmerising Art Deco trilogy ring, the sapphire and old cut diamonds arranged North/South along the finger, as opposed to the usual East/West across formation. This style has two obvious pros: larger stones can be used, and it's (arguably) a more striking aesthetic. The principal stone is a 2.5 carat natural sapphire with intense deep blue colour, paired with two .55ct old Euro diamonds each featuring a large open culet and excellent flash and fire. The stones rest in millegrain bezel settings, at the ring's modelled in platinum throughout.
