DATE: Art Deco, c.1920

An exceptional mixed metal Art Deco chain comprising alternating sections of platinum and 18k yellow gold curb links. Its initial purpose was a pocket watch chain - hence the T-bar, swivel clasp, and bolt-ring clasp - however, fortuitously, it's 15 inch length is ideal for wear as a choker length necklace. It's great quality, the high karat gold and platinum giving it a substantial feel, and dates from the 1920s. Such examples in bi-metal are incredibly scarce nowadays, on account of the relatively short period in which they were produced, and their immense popularity.
